Mission critical communications face complex challenges that require specific solutions. At the Critical Communications World event in Helsinki, Alea’s Mission Critical Push to Talk solution and Athonet’s 5G SA network will be installed on Elistair’s Orion Heavy Lift tethered drone. This solution is incredibly valuable for remote and inaccessible areas, enabling rapid network coverage. The drone has a payload capacity of up to 5 kg and has a 50-hour flight duration. Through this accomplishment, Alea consolidates its standing as a point of reference for mission critical users and First responders.

Bolzano Vicentino – Pordenone, Italy, December 22, 2022 – During the 7th MCX Plugtests event, held in Malaga in November ‘22, Athonet and Alea, a Leonardo Company, succesfully demonstrated the management of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters of MCx voice calls over 5G for the first time within an ETSI MCX Plugtest event.

On June 16, Alea and Athonet held a joint demo at the ETSI FRMCS Plugtests 2021 to test the interoperability of their Mission Critical Push-To-Talk solutions for railway telecommunication services.
